The infrastructure for tomorrow's nutrition
The Idea: I'm trying to build the "GitHub of Food." Instead of just hosting recipes, we're building an infrastructure layer where regional food data is treated like verifiable code. We've built a system to trace every ingredient back to a strict, nationally verified source code—removing generic estimates entirely. The Problem to Solve: The biggest bottleneck in nutrition tech right now isn't a lack of AI—it's a lack of reliable foundational data. You simply cannot build accurate meal plans, dietitian tools, or AI health agents on top of generic, unverified food databases. The baseline data is too noisy to trust, especially for regional diets. Target Audience: Initially, health-conscious individuals who want trustworthy, traceable nutrition numbers. But the long-term focus is B2B: providing a clean, verified data API that future AI nutritionists and certified dietitians can actually rely on to power personalized advice.
